about the collection
This Collection is called "Universal Light"
and our inspiration came from our Humanity.
During 2020, we participated in the George Floyd Protest to fight for police brutality against communities of color. During our march, we came across a few participants that were dressed in Construction colors. All we can think about was how communities of color were not seen, just targeted. How thousands of individuals came out to chant, and yell of the injustices of our system. How HUMANITY came together for a cause. To shed light on a community that was being targeted. Therefore, we wanted to create a collection that allowed people to be seen. We used construction colors because they represented safety and awareness. We wanted to capture that essence of the Protest. We added strips of reflective material to emulate the light shining within us all.
